Russia: West uses pandemic to lay hands on Libyan, Venezuelan oil

MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- The West is trying to get the oil resources of Libya and Venezuela making use of the pandemic, Deputy Secretary of Russia's Security Council Alexander Venediktov told PRIME in an interview released on Monday.

He said that new and old conflicts are refueled amid the pandemic, and international tensions are unlikely to subside after the crisis because the systemic players will try to achieve more beneficial political positions.

"We see this in the cases of Libya and Venezuela, where the West is trying to get the oil resources without even concealing this goal," Venediktov said.
